Eternal Diamonds was started by Nicholas Ng in Singapore after the death of his father. We infuse DNA from a loved one’s ashes, hair or fur into a real, certified diamond in about an hour, and families are invited to be in the room when it happens.
Why this exists
When my dad died, someone told me I could turn his ashes into a diamond. It would take months, and it was really expensive, so I let the idea go for a long time.
Then I found a way to do it in about an hour. That’s when I knew other families would want this too: a way to hold the people they love close.
It’s more than a piece of jewellery. It’s part of what is true to them, loved by them.
What I believe
It’s them
When families ask me whether it is really their mother or father in the diamond, my answer is simple. Yes. It’s their DNA. It’s your loved one.
You should be in the room
Remember Zoom during Covid? You feel closer to someone after five minutes in person than five hours on a screen. That’s why every family is invited into the lab to place the ashes or hair themselves. If you can’t travel, we arrange a private video call.
People grieve differently
Most people grieve alone. They don’t share the pain, and they don’t know how to feel close to the person they lost. This gives them a way. When a family places the ashes of someone they love and watches the diamond being made, you see grief and joy at the same time. It’s beyond words.
Never lie to customers
No shortcuts, no tricks, even if it would make more money. The diamond is real and certified like any other. We will always tell you honestly whether the material you have is suitable before you part with anything.
There are many reasons not to buy. You only need one reason to buy.
Why Southeast Asia, and why now
I’m from Singapore. This is my region, and the technology to do this properly and quickly finally exists. Families here shouldn’t have to send their loved ones to another continent and wait most of a year.
